The Columns was the blog of the Columbia Political Union. It used Drupal.
The contributors frequently got upset over Israel/Palestine. They sometimes told jokes, though.

- Chas Carey - Editor-in-Chief of The Fed, College Rock director at WBAR, KCST regular, Spec columnist.
- David Feith - Editor-in-Chief of The Current.
- David Judd - President of the ISO, Minutemen protester, infamously featured in that New York magazine article.
- Kate Redburn - Outreach Coordinator for the Columbia University Democrats.
- Armin Rosen - Zeta Psi member, contributor to various campus publications.
- Matt Sanchez - Embroiled in controversy over anti-Columbia remarks and his own former porn/escort career.
Other, less frequent contributors included Luke Stalcup, Lauren Steinberg, Stefanie Goodsell, Christien Tompkins, and Evan Thomas.
