40 days before graduation, seniors gather on Low Steps to enjoy the spring weather and, well, down 40s.

This next 40s on 40 was scheduled to occur on April 6, 2007. It would have been quickly be broken up by security, leaving many seniors unhappy and giving them yet another reason to never give back to the university in the future.

However, the administration has decided cancel the event completely. Or rather, in finest Microsoftian fashion, it has decided to "co-opt and destroy". Informal drinking on the steps will be replaced with an official party on South Lawn replete with free stickers and T-shirts. Rumor has it that the administration has even booked a clown for entertainment, and there'll be a coloring-in contest too!

One senior notes that the Last Supper also takes place on Thursday, and seniors may want to celebrate it with wine and bread on the steps.
