Carsplit is a site that facilitates cab sharing to NYC airports. The site was made by Adam Goldberg.
Carsplit was first publicized and used heavily in December 2005, when around 2,700 students registered. However, the site only becomes useful if it receives a lot of publicity like it did in 2005. In the following few semesters this publicity never materialized, which is basically a failure by Spec and the Class Councils.
Anyway, Bwog gave the site some exposure in December 2007, so hopefully it will once again become useful.
