Nicholas Hingston Tenev, CC '08, is a physics and economics major from Princeton, NJ. He drinks very little, partly because he's a Christian, and partly because he better enjoys the company of friends in sobriety. His friends describe him as "sweet", "calm", "soft" and of "good cheer". Tenev plays guitar, and using software, he has become a one man band, most recently going under the name "Bick Fenev and the Jets". Nick also has a taste for Barnard girls.

During his sophomore year, Tenev shared a room with Andrew Martin, his best friend. They are often seen together. Another of Tenev's friends is "Alonzo", who recently composed a mock-heroic sonnet for Tenev's birthday:

His Holy Ire - from o'er the seasilk shores
Of Nicktenshire, there came a noble lord.
Mid parted hair and eyes to Führer fair -
Oh- but to widows woe; his heart, despair.
And fear, cuckolds to be, impotent lot,
For all chaste maids are by his charmings caught
His sword's long might - no honour's from it saved.
Ah, and his gi-tar skills are all the rage.
Pale fire is the myth'd Orphe`us' song
When Tenev's voice makes fisty virgins long
To sing themselves, inspired by his sav'ry wrong.
But for his friends, there is no cause of fear
He is all quiet calm and soft good cheer.
Thus I end - Happy Birthday, Nicky Dear.
