The NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) is a lab of the Goddard Space Flight Center and a unit of the Earth Institute. Founded in 1961 as the Goddard Space Flight Center Institute for Space Studies, it's primary focus these days is on global climate change. It is housed in Armstrong Hall.
