Herbet Wechsler Law '31 was a professor at the law school from 1944 to 1978 (serving in emeritus status until his death in 2000). He was president of the law review at age 20 and was the driving force behind the creation of the Model Penal Code. He also argued the famed New York Times v. Sullivan libel case before the Supreme Court.
