Matt Sanchez and Ann Coulter at CPAC

Corporal Matthew Sanchez, or Matt Sanchez, (b. 1 December 1969) GS '07 is a 36-year old Columbia student. He was formerly a gay porn star and escort. He also did a stint in the military and remains a Marine Corps reservist. Sanchez speaks Spanish, French and German. He cites travel and books as some of his main interests.

Biography

Before coming to Columbia

Sanchez was born to Puerto Rican parents in California. He was raised in San Jose. After learning Spanish at school, he lived in Madrid, Spain. He then lived in Montreal, Canada for 2 years, where he learned French. After this, he lived in Berlin, Germany for a year, where he learned German. In 1989, Sanchez briefly dated Andy Towle, a gay blogger [1] and former graduate student at Stanford.

In the early to mid-1990s, Sanchez worked as a gay porn star. First, in 1993, he used the name Pierre LaBranche while working for Kristen Bjorn and William Duffault. In 1994, he moved to San Francisco and changed his name to the more American-sounding Rod Majors. He starred in several gay and bisexual videos for Catalina and Falcon. Sanchez was successful largely because of a certain well-endowed 11 inches. Sanchez appeared in several films, including Jawbreaker, Donkey Dick, Glory Holes of Fame 3, Idol Country (1994), and Built Tough(1995). Sanchez subsequently left the porn industry, and lived in England and Germany.

Furthermore, Matt Sanchez is alleged to have worked as a male escort. He is thought to have worked in 4 major US cities, charging $200-$250 per session.

Sanchez is currently a student at Columbia in the School of General Studies Class of 2007.

Whining about leftists

Sanchez first became well known on campus for complaining to anyone who would listen about how he was taunted by Columbia leftists for being a minority in the military. He also claimed that the military is an underrepresented minority on campus. His media career started with an interview in the Columbia Spectator. After this he appeared on several Fox News television programs, including The O'Reilly Factor and Hannity & Colmes. Sanchez is associated with right-wing clubs on campus like the Columbia College Conservative Club and the College Republicans.

Gay porn star revelation

Sanchez attended the 2007 Conservative Political Action Conference where Ann Coulter made her infamous "faggot" insult about John Edwards. He received the Jeane Kirkpatrick Academic Freedom Award and was photographed with Coulter. A bunch of gay bloggers (such as Joe. My. God) recognized him as the former gay porn star by the name of Rod Majors, as described above. The story was rapidly seized upon by blogs like The Bwog and Gawker, and has since been covered by several major news organizations. It has also been alleged that he was an escort, again, as described above.

Presumably he didn't write about these experiences in his application essay.
