The Women's Lacrosse team at Columbia holds the unfortunate distinction of being among the most dismal programs at a school replete with dismal teams. Playing their inaugural season in 1997, and entering conference play in the Ivy League for the first time in 1998, the team has a lifetime 1-76 record in conference play. The team won its first, and only, conference game in 2005, defeating Harvard by 2 goals in its final conference game of the year. Harvard finished the year tied with Columbia for last in the conference.
