The Columbia Women's Business Society (CWBS) is an undergraduate women’s organization that aims to create a business leadership network between Columbia students and female professionals in New York City and beyond.
As one of the largest pre-professional groups at the University, it is committed to helping Columbia women attain their professional goals by providing educational events, networking resources, exposure to career opportunities, and mentoring relationships with successful businesswomen. All events are open to past and present Columbia students.
Career Events
CWBS hosts a variety of career focused events on and off campus with top firms in finance, consulting, and marketing, along with events targeted towards graduate school applications and admissions. The organization has also recently launched an alumnae mentoring program, allowing current members to learn from and network with young professionals.
Annual Conference
Each year CWBS organizes a Women's Business Leadership Conference. The conference aims to connect undergraduate students to successful women in a variety of business fields, and to inspire them to achieve their own professional goals in the future.
In each of the past five years, approximately 200-300 female undergraduate student leaders at Columbia have attended the conference. Through two keynote addresses, career panels, and networking opportunities, conference attendees have the unique opportunity to interact with and learn from some of the most inspiring businesswomen in the corporate world.
