Columbia Outdoor Orientation Program (COÖP) is a pre-orientation program for incoming first-year students, which is divided into Hiking (COHOP), Biking (COBOP) and River Canoeing (COROP).
If you enjoyed your trip when you were a first-year, or if you just want to brave the outdoors, you can follow the steps below to apply to become a COÖP leader.
Application Process
- Only first-year students and sophomores can apply to be leaders.
- The COÖP leadership application process begins at the start of the spring semester in late January.
- Applicants must attend one of the first two information sessions, then attend all other mandatory dates and events to be considered for leadership.
