All Columbia residence hall rooms come with:
- bed and mattress
- desk and chair
- chest of drawers
- closet or wardrobe
- bookshelf or shelving units
- ceiling lamp
- trash can
- mirror
What to bring
You need to bring everything else, which may include:
Electronics
- Computer
- Ethernet cord - bring at least a 50 ft cable if you're living in Carman
- Cell phone - provided ROLM phones are never used
- Power strips or extension cords - some rooms, like in Carman provide as little as one pair of outlets per person
- Desk lamp
- George Foreman mini-grill (actually illegal in residence halls)
- Mini-fridge
Bed/bath
- Bed risers
- Bedding
- Mattress pad
- Shower caddy
- Bathrobe
- Towel
- Under the bed drawers
- Laundry hamper
Clothing
- Formal clothes for interviews
- Raincoat/umbrella
