Terrace in the Sky (or TITS) was an expensive "fine dining" restaurant. It was located on the top floor of Butler Hall (not to be confused with Butler Library) on the corner of 119th Street and Morningside Drive and had a spectacular view of the city skyline. It was a popular destination for graduating students and their families during Commencement and other big occasions.

After declaring bankruptcy and undergoing a reorganization plan, Terrace in the Sky was finally forced to close in October 2011, after the University Trustees argued continuing to operate meant it was taking up valuable commercial space. There is no word on whether the Trustees plan to lease the space to another operation.[1]
