The Morningside Heights campus gates protect the Morningside Heights campus from the outside world. Gates are found at the following locations and are open 24-hours, unless otherwise noted:
- 114th and Broadway
- 114th, East of Butler Library
- 114th, West of Butler Library
- 116th and Amsterdam
- 116th and Broadway
- 116th, East of Jerome Greene Hall
- 118th and Amsterdam (limited hours)
- 118th and Broadway (limited hours)
- 120th, Behind Pupin Hall (limited hours)
The university sometimes closes select gates during inclement weather, though the 116th Street gates are virtually always open (except during Commencement).
