Bancroft Award
The 'Bancroft Award (not to be confused with the Bancroft Prize) was established by the Trustees of the University in 1963 to make possible the annual publication of a two dissertations, successfully defended during the preceding year, in the areas of American history (including biography), diplomacy, or international relations.
