Based at Reid Hall, French Cultural Studies in Global Context is an intensive one-year MA program centering on French culture and society since the 1789 Revolution. Students select one of two tracks--France and Europe or France, Africa, and the Middle East--but must follow the same core courses on cultural studies, modern French history, and stylistics. Seminars are taken both Reid Hall various area institutions of higher learning, including Jussieu (Paris-7), Sorbonne (Paris-4), EHESS, and Sciences-Po, according to availability and individual interest. Although French is the principal language of communication, MA essays can be presented in English.
