Erica Jong BC '63 MA '65 is a notable author known for her frank treatment of female sexuality. After attending Barnard, she received a Masters in 18th century English literature from Columbia's English Department. She later attended the writing program, now part of the School of the Arts, where she studied with Stanley Kunitz and Mark Strand. In 2007, her archive was acquired by the Rare Book and Manuscript Library, which she will consult with on the acquisition of other writers' papers while teaching at SoA.
