The Dumbells were a senior society in SEAS during the early and mid 1900s. The group was founded in 1920 by six engineering students who wanted to promote fellowship among students and further the social welfare of the school. Membership in the group was not secretive; the annual membership list was published in The Columbia Engineer, the former yearbook for SEAS (before it merged with the CC yearbook to form The Columbian). The group is now defunct and has not been heard or seen on campus since the 1970s.
