The Interim Governing Body (IGB) was a transitional governing body that existed during the fall of 1998 and charged with the development of a constitution for a new funding board following the collapse of the Union of Student Organizations the previous spring. Later that semester the Activities Board at Columbia was inaugurated as the culmination of IGB's work.

The acronym should not be confused with the Interschool Governing Board (also IGB), which was established almost ten years later in 2006 to represent student groups with significant graduate student participation.
