The Habibi Phenomenon occurs when an individual, upon seeing another individual, cries out "Habibi" or "Habibti", depending on gender, and rushes over to hug said individual. The proper response to this form of greeting would be a corresponding "Habibi" or "Habibti". This exercise was popularized by Anan Suleiman Barqawi.
