Ruggles murder-suicide

The Ruggles murder-suicide incident refers to the February 5, 2000 murder of Columbia College student Kathleen Roskot in Ruggles Hall by Thomas Nelford. Nelford subsequently killed himself by throwing himself in front of a train at the 181st St. subway station.

Suffice to say, Ruggles Suite 509, where the murder took place, is unpopular in Room Selection.
