The Robert Shellow Gerdy Prize is awarded to that member of the graduating class who, throughout the undergraduate years, has made a significant contribution as a member of the staff of one or more student publications, especially the Jester, Columbia Review, and the Spectator. It was established by Mr. and Mrs. Irving Gerdy in memory of their son, Robert Shellow Gerdy, Class of 1939, in 1969.
