The mission of Pi Delta Psi Fraternity, Inc. is to maintain its Fraternal existence by instilling values that nurture and perpetuate the continual growth and development of the individual through Academic Achievement, Cultural Awareness, Righteousness, Friendship and Loyalty while fostering ethical behavior, leadership, and philanthropy. Pi Delta Psi was founded on these principles to help promote Asian Awareness amongst it brothers and throughout the community.

Many brothers of Columbia Pi Delta Psi hold leadership positions and are actively involved in several pre-professional and cultural on-campus student organizations, including: MBA, AMSA, AAA, TASA, and KSA.

Since 2011, Pi Delta Psi has been co-hosting a clothing exchange with Kappa Alpha Theta and Circle K. This initiative involves a large-scale clothing drive within the Columbia University Community ultimately leading to a flea-market event out on Low Plaza to sell these items at a discounted price. Students are encouraged to donate clean, lightly-worn clothing or shoes to help the cause. All proceeds from the event are donated to charity.
