Youngweon Lee was featured on Bwog before she even got to Columbia through a series of posts exposing the CC/SEAS ’20 GroupMe in spring 2016. Somehow, this inspired her to join the organization. Youngweon served on the Editorial Board as the site’s Social Media Editor in spring 2018, then became Editor in Chief in May after an E-Board rearrangement as Betsy Ladyzhets stepped aside to resume Managing Editor duties.

Hailing from Seoul, South Korea, Youngweon is passionate about soup, wine, Sappho, and pointing out people’s grammar mistakes. Her most notable accomplishments as EIC include interviewing Emily Wilson on her Odyssey translation, breaking a story on hazing practices at Lambda Phi Epsilon, and overseeing the implementation of a new website design, for which she is prepared to fly to Canada and personally fight the tech guy to ensure completion.
