Bengal Cafe
Bengal Cafe is an Indian 'restaurant' on Amsterdam Avenue between 110th St and 111th St. It's not a very good restaurant because the chefs cater to the untrained palate, serving mild (i.e., bland) dishes. Consequently, no one every goes there. It's always completely empty, and is sad. A better alternative is Indian Cafe, or for true excellence, Indus Valley.
