  • A group visits Parliament with a petition to make King's College the center of an American university along the lines of Oxford or Cambridge, encompassing all existing North American colleges
  • George Washington's stepson, John Parke Custis, spends a semester at King's College before being forced to leave, having burned through his annual allowance
  • Isaac Abrahams is the first known Jewish student to graduate from King's College
