The Jerome L. Greene Science Center will be a new research teaching facility that will serve as the home for Columbia's Mind, Brain and Behavior initiative. It will be led by neurobiologist Dr. Thomas Jessell, and Nobel laureates Dr. Richard Axel and Dr. Eric Kandel. It will be the first new structure built in the Manhattanville campus, and is funded by a $200 million gift from the Jerome Greene Foundation, the largest gift in Columbia history at the time. John Kluge's $400 Million dollar donation for undergraduate financial aid in the spring of 2007 has since surpassed it.
