1967 in Columbia history:
- The University first decided to allow the School of General Studies to grant the BA degree in addition to the BS
- April 20: Ted Gold leads an SDS protest against Marines recruiting in the lobby of John Jay Hall. The protesters were attacked by rightwing students and driven to the West End, and President Grayson Kirk issued a proclamation against indoor protesting.
