The MacMahon Report, formally "The Report of the President's Committee on the Educational Future of Columbia University", was a 1957 internal assessment of Columbia's standing vis a vis it's peer institutions. The report concluded that Columbia stood firmly in third, behind Harvard and Berkeley.
It stands in start contrast with the Marcus Commission Report of 1979.
