Talk:James Russell
Wow, how can MEALAC be so retarded? What are Russell's political views? − Reaganaut 19:25, 15 November 2007 (EST)

Intro
Egad, what happened here? The intro is now highly redundant and makes it hard to find why Russell is significant. I propose this instead:
- James Robert Russell CC '74 (1953 - ) is a professor of Armenian Studies at Harvard. A distinguished alumnus of Columbia College, he is undoubtedly one of the foremost scholars of Armenian history and culture in the world. Despite this, Russell has been repeatedly denied tenure by Columbia's MEALAC department, probably for political reasons. In addition, Russell is known for his fight to introduce a Great Books curriculum to Harvard, in the model of Coulmbia's Core.
