R. W. Apple, Jr. GS 1961 was an American journalist notable for his work with the New York Times, where his exploits were the stuff of legend.

Apple attended GS after being kicked out of Princeton - several times. He later wrote for Spec.

He was also well known for being a foodie, a hobby that was aided and abetted by the Times' expense account policies.
