Watt offers a great apartment-style setting with both studio singles and doubles. This building is a pre-war construction, converted to a graduate residence hall in 1977 and into an undergraduate residence in 1996.

Advantages and disadvantages

Advantages

  • Watt 1O is an often-overlooked large double. On other floors it would be a one-bedroom.
  • Can travel room to room via the fire escape

Disadvantages

  • No common lounges.
  • No computer labs or printers.
  • Elevator sometimes gets stuck between floors.
  • Fire engine based at 113th and Amsterdam frequently blares sirens and horn late at night.
