Baker Blast celebrates the first home game of the football season (as distinguished from Homecoming, the first home game against an Ivy League opponent.) The Athletics Department provides free shirts and booze to students (though said booze is not allowed inside Wien Stadium). Columbia usually wins this game as its always against a nonconference whipping boy (like Fordham, every other year).
