Ted Rall is a controversial political cartoonist. From 1981 to 1984, Rall attended SEAS, where he where he majored in applied physics and nuclear engineering. He also contributed cartoons to the campus newspapers, including the Spectator, Barnard Bulletin, and the Jester.

Rall was kicked out of housing for dropping water balloons on unsuspecting pedestrians from his room, high in East Campus. He later interrupted his studies altogether, returning to graduate several years later from GS in 1991, with honors, in history.
