Rich Forzani's letter about Sha Na Na is very moving, but 40 years have passed (!) and some important details are, understandably, blurred. The concerts Rich describes happened in 69, not 68-- after the Columbia student revolution, not before it. And he didn't see Bowzer perform, who didn't join the group until after they played Woodstock. But what the hell, 40 years. The letter's full of valuable background information about the audience coming "greased." Wish there were more descriptions of those nights. It's interesting that today, there would be millions of cell phone pix of those two epic campus concerts. Videotapes, the works. But since it was back then-- not even one picture exists. At least, I've never seen one. Sixth Floor Jay 16:59, 10 August 2009 (EDT)
