Warren St. John CC '91 is a writer for the New York Times. He has come to specialize in long form sports journalism, and is known for his book-length study of Alabama football fans. St. John, a native of the southern state, came to Columbia to put his life on a different track than the one he faced in Alabama, but his interest in Alabama football quickly revived during the Columbia football team's depressing losing streak.
