George Lawrence Starke CC'71 was an American football player who played for the Washington Redskins from 1973 to 1984.

At Columbia, Starke played tight end and led the Lions in receptions in 1969.

For the Redskins, he played offensive lineman, helping the Washington club win the Super Bowl XVII. He was famously nicknamed the "Head Hog" of "the Hogs" - the legendary Redskins offensive line which included Russ Grimm, Mark May, Joe Jacoby, and Jeff Bostic.
