Casa Murano is being developed into the Columbia study center in Venice. Originally the home and library of Italian art historian Michaelangelo Murano, its development into a Columbia facility has been facilitated by art history professor David Rosand. Columbia plans to turn Casa Murano into its Italian equivalent of its Paris study abroad facility, Reid Hall.
