The MacMahon Report, formally "The Report of the President's Committee on the Educational Future of Columbia University", was a 1957 internal assessment of Columbia's standing vis-a-vis its peer institutions. The report concluded that Columbia stood firmly in third among american universities, behind Harvard and Berkeley.
It stands in stark contrast with the Marcus Commission Report of 1979.
