Weston Plaza

The Reverend Dr. M. Morgan Weston II Plaza is the granite-bordered patch of grass and adjacent benches outside of John Jay. The plaza, created in the space formerly occupied by the Lion's Court after much student feedback[1], was dedicated to the Columbia College alum, Harlem Activist, and University trustee in October 2004. [2] In the process though, there was much student bitching and moaning, as there always is. [3]

The gate that stands between Weston Plaza and Butler Library used to stand on Columbia's Midtown campus.
