Arthur Hays Sulzberger CC 1913 was publisher of the New York Times from 1935 to 1961.

He founded the university's Jewish Advisory Board in 1929 and served on the board of what became Columbia-Barnard Hillel for many years. From 1944 to 1959 he served as a university trustee, much to the ire of then-University President Nicholas Murray Butler, who was not a fan of Jews.
