Andrew Liebowitz

Andrew Liebowitz CC '06 studied history at Columbia with a specialization in 19th and early 20th century American and European imperialism. While at Columbia, Liebowitz was an active member of the fraternity Sigma Phi Epsilon, Klaritin (a comedy improvisation group), and The Philolexian Society. He is the recipient of the 2005 Philolexian Centennial Washington Prize.

After graduating Columbia, Liebowitz worked for two years within Lehman Brothers' Alternative Investment Management Division.

In 2010 Liebowitz received an MPA from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University with a concentration in State and Local Government Finance.

Liebowitz served for two years as an economist with the New York City Independent Budget Office. He is currently a senior economist with Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
