The Columbia University Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Club is a martial art that emphasizes grappling and groundfighting. It makes use of Judo throws, chokes, and jointlocks, as well as wrestling takedowns and techniques. The group is recognized under the Club Sports Governing Board and has a very active schedule of practices and competitions. They're known for their posters around campus, encouraging people to come with their friends to reinforce their friendships through casual chokes (joke).

They meet at Dodge Gym, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
