Wien residence hall

Wien is a relatively old residence hall. It was built as Johnson Hall to serve as an all-female graduate residence. It became a co-ed residence hall when SEAS first accepted women in the 1970s.

It houses mostly juniors in singles and sophomores in doubles.

Higher floors have more light. Rooms that face the law school have lots of light because of Wein Courtyard. Rooms that face east have lots of light on the floors higher than the President's house. Rooms that face EC don't have much light, except for corner rooms which have 2 windows.

Facilities

All rooms have their own sink.

  • Floor 12: rooms 1218 and 1220 have their own toilet.

Advantages

  • Great views.

Disadvantages

  • No floor kitchens.
  • Lots of sound leakage.
  • Co-ed bathrooms.
  • Poor elevators.
