The Ivy League of women's colleges. Members that are still women's colleges include Mount Holyoke, Wellesley, Smith, Bryn Mawr, and Barnard. Vassar went co-ed in 1969, and Radcliffe was before Harvard swallowed it.
When the Seven Sisters approach Lisa Simpson in her dream before a spelling bee in the episode "I'm Spelling as Fast as I Can", Barnard is presented as "Columbia's girl next door".
