Seven Sisters
The Seven Sisters are seven prestigous women's colleges, sometimes considered to represent the Ivy League of women's colleges. Members that are still women's colleges include Mount Holyoke, Wellesley, Smith, Bryn Mawr, and Barnard. Vassar went co-ed in 1969, and Radcliffe was a member before Harvard swallowed it.
When the Seven Sisters approach Lisa Simpson in her dream before a spelling bee in the episode "I'm Spelling as Fast as I Can", Barnard is presented as "Columbia's girl next door".
