Alouette was a bistro on Broadway at 98th St. It was replaced by Awadh, which specializes in Indian cuisine. Come here for your cassoulet and confit fix or to relax behind some fine house wines. The cozy space is usually packed for dinner and Sunday brunch, so consider calling ahead. Cheaper than Bistro 1018, if you can stomach the hike.
