Joyce Kilmer CC 1908 was a New Jersey poet. Philo's Joyce Kilmer Memorial Bad Poetry Contest is named after him. So is a rest stop on the Jersey Turnpike. Kilmer, who managed to transfer from Rutgers despite his poor performance there, was actually VP of Philo, an editor of the Spec, and a member of the campus debating society.
