Haim Gaifman is a notoriously intimidating philosophy professor who specializes in mathematical logic. He received his PhD at Berkley in 1962 under the tutelage of one of the greatest logicians of the last century, Alfred Tarski. [1] He is also said to have worked personally with Rudolf Carnap. He is Israeli.
