Bus
- See also Wikipedia's article about "Bus".
A bus is a large road vehicle that carries passengers. There are several types of buses inhabiting New York City that may be of interest for Columbia students:
- Columbia runs several shuttle buses from Morningside Heights to the Medical Center, Baker Field, Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, and locations in between. Consult the Transportation website for more information.
- MTA Buses, most of which are excruciatingly slow--often slower than walking. However, they are often your only public transit option for going across town. Particularly useful bus lines include the M4, which goes to the Met and other museums on 5th Avenue, the M104, which runs down Broadway, and the M60, which goes to LaGuardia Airport.
- Many commuter and long-distance buses depart from Port Authority Bus Terminal.
