Thanks for your clarification as to the Psi U founding date. Still, I disagree with your claim that Psi U is the "oldest fraternity" at Columbia. As a member of Columbia's chapter of ADP, we trace a legacy back to the 1836 founding. Whether that makes us a fraternity by your definition is up to you, but ADP is still both the oldest Greek Letter organization at Columbia and the first fraternity at Columbia.

I propose doing what historians do in such situations: use more precise labels. Call one the oldest "continuous" fraternity and the other the "first" fraternity. Pacman 12:27, 26 July 2007 (EDT)
